HARVINGTON HALL WEBSITE
HARVINGTON HALL WEBSITE
Harvington Hall is a beautiful moated manor house with the largest surviving series of priest hides in the country and a rare collection of original Elizabethan wall paintings. Originally built in the 1300s and developed magnificently in the late 1500s, Harvington Hall brings to life the fascinating history of the survival of Roman Catholic families and clergymen during the Reformation of the late sixteenth century.
Brief
Hot Source was commissioned to completely redevelop the website. The focus was to establish a fully responsive layout and integrate a striking events listing and CMS management system. The design of the website was to reflect the existing marketing material associated with the site and retain a strong sense of history and heritage.
Actions
Hot Source created the new website based around a creative combination of real reenactors and the architectural elements of the building. Considerable attention was spent ensuring that the site was responsive and suitable for all platforms. While exiting copy was used along with some newly created content, an extensive programme of photography was undertaken to ensure that the client had a full portfolio of images that reflect the exceptional character of the building and what it offers to the public.
Results
The project was developed over a three month period – a time period required to source all the new materials that were to be included in the site. The project was delivered on schedule and in time for the 2017 open season.
HARVINGTON HALL WEBSITE
The Hall now has a lovely new, revamped website, thanks to the hard work and generosity of Paul Vincent and his creative team.
